Many plants have been used throughout the years as symbols of the various aspects of the Christian faith; holly, the rose, evergreens, the poinsettia, the lilly, etc. One of the most colorful symbols, dating back a few hundred years in Europe, is the Pansy, which is yet another symbol of the Trinity.
